FAQS
Why should I have my wedding video recorded?

Unlike photography, which is able to capture a single priceless glance of your special day, a motion picture production will capture the tears of your parents giving you away, the bonding words of your commitment to each other, the passion of your first dance, not to mention the timeless moments and emotions expressed from the people you love the most and that love you. These living, breathing moments will forever fade into a blur unless you are able to relive these memories to their fullest to you and your heritage for a hundred years come through the means of a professional video.

Why shouldn't I just have my friend do it with his handycam?

Although your friend may be sincere in his actions, there is an absolutely HUGE difference between an amateur messing around with their camera and specialized professionals who care about every important aspect of your day. Also, your friend is highly unlikely to posses the state of the art equipment which includes high-quality cameras and lenses, lights, wireless microphones, and editing equipment and so on. I'm sure that you care enough about your formal pictures that you are not having any old friend with a disposable camera taking them, but understand the necessity of a professional. Why then shouldn't you care that much about your "moving" pictures? We can't stress enough how important it is that you have someone who is an expert at his field to capture the invaluable moments of your day. You will not regret the decision to do so.

Which video company is right for me?

This totally depends on what your priority is. Quality or budget? Beware, there are numerous so-called videographers out there whose prices are on the lower end because they just want to make a few extra bucks on the weekend as a hobby, but aren't the professionals they claim to be. Usually you will pay for what you get, and what price do you put on your wedding day? So do your homework, and research several video companies and get as many demo weddings as you can get your hands on. You'll usually discover that the work speaks for itself, and every company should have some kind of demo of the work that they themselves have done that they could send to you. After that you have found someone whose work that you are impressed with, you want to know if that person is trustworthy enough to do the same for you, so do some background checking. Ask for some references or clients with whom he has done work for and the locations at which he has worked, and probe them about his work ethic and professionalism. Also, you will find as an excellent source that your photographer, DJ, location manager, or others within the wedding industry will have a few videographers that they really like to work with that they would suggest to you. In the end however, the decision is up to you and you want someone that you like, whose work you like, and whom you are comfortable with and trust.

What will your presence be like at our wedding?

During much of the day you we will become your shadow, always there, but discreet enough that you will eventually feel like we are just part of the party! The details of exact locations or our camera angles and our total involvement in your day will be discussed when you come see us.

How do we work with photographers?

We always will respect the photographer at all times, and when it is their time to shine we will not interfere with their work, but will do our best to work with them.

How long should I expect my video to be?

This will somewhat depend on which package you decide to go with, but normally they will not be any longer than an hour. Don't panic, and think that a longer video means a better video. Less is more, and a longer video generally means somebody is going to have the finger on the fast-forward button of the remote to get through the boring parts. How much of someone crawling up an aisle can you bear, or how many hours of the same person dancing can you watch? We strongly believe the length of a video should be determined by the value of your content and not by an unwritten rule that says your video should be at least 2 hours long.We edit in the manner that we would view a movie. All of us know how to "fill in the blanks". We understand that TV and movies compress time for the sake of keeping the action moving and the story compelling. In reality, it's much more difficult to edit in this style than it is to simply "chunk together" long, boring footage.

How long will it take to complete my video?

Normally, we will have the finished product of your wedding done and in your hands in about 10-16 weeks depending on which time of the year that we film your wedding and how backed up we are. Please understand that art cannot be rushed, and assure you that it will be worth every day of your wait.

How do I determine my prices?

Our prices are based on one variable: time. From the time of booking until the final product in your hands it will not be uncommon if we spend up to 100 hours on the production. After considering that most photographers generally don't even spend half that amount of time on a single project it's no wonder that exceptional videography should cost at least as much, if not considerably more than photography.

Do you travel?

Certain traveling accommodations will apply, but we will go anywhere!

How soon prior to my wedding should I book you?

The summer dates fill up fast, so if yours is a popular date you will want to book us 6 months to 12 months in advance.
